Hi, I'm Shan.

I'm a self-taught artist based in Melbourne, and everything in this shop is drawn by hand in coloured pencil. No AI and no shortcuts, just a lot of hours, good light and a sharp pencil.

For years I worked in production, graphic design and social media. It was creative, but it was never quite mine. In 2025 I finally made the leap to draw full time, and this little studio is what came of it.

My work sits where portraits meet nature. I'm drawn to the female form alongside flowers, shells and soft pieces of landscape, and the way beauty turns up in all of them. I grew up obsessed with fashion and the garden in equal measure, and my mum, a fashion designer, taught me to draw before I can really remember. That thread runs through everything I make.

Lately I've loved working with others too. Twelve birth flowers with the jewellery label By Charlotte, and a colour series with Hommey. But at the heart of it, it's still just me at a desk, drawing the things I find beautiful and hoping they find a home with you.
